Respiratory Therapist - Weekends - Cardiopulmonary Services
Weekends, consisting of Friday, Saturday & Sunday, 7a-7p, with Call.
The Cardiopulmonary Care Practitioner shall provide diagnostic and therapeutic cardiopulmonary services for inpatients and outpatients. The Cardiopulmonary Care Practitioner shall provide direct and indirect patient care in an age specific manner. The staff practitioner shall perform specific tests in cardiopulmonary therapy to assist in diagnosis, monitoring and treatment. He/she shall be competent in the treating, management, control, diagnostic evaluation and care of patients with deficiencies and abnormalities associated with the cardiopulmonary system and provides the highest quality of medical care. He/she administers treatments within the order or prescription of a physician, keeps records and compiles reports concerning patient charges, patient care and administrative operations. The Cardiopulmonary Care Practitioner shall be knowledgeable and competent in all policies and procedures of the department including the Cardio-Pulmonary Lab.
Education and/or Experience:
Must hold a current license, issued by the Texas Department of Health, to practice Cardiopulmonary Care in the State of Texas. Certified by the National Board for Cardiopulmonary Care as a Certified Cardiopulmonary Therapist (CRT) or Registered Cardiopulmonary Therapist (RRT).
