Care TeamThe doctors, nurses and other caregivers at St. Mark's Medical Center are committed to providing the best care possible during your current medical challenge. Professional Registered Nurses (RN) provide care for you 24 hours a day during your stay at St. Mark's, as well as Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVN) and Nurse Assistants. A Charge Nurse is responsible for directing and coordinating care. Please feel free to contact your Nurse or Charge Nurse at any time if you have questions or concerns.
Based on your specific needs, you may also receive care from other members of St. Mark's care team, such as Physical Therapy staff, Respiratory staff, Dietary staff, Case Management, or St. Mark's Hospitalist staff. All of these professionals are here to make your medical stay the best one possible.
The names of St. Mark's staff caring for you should be written on the marker board in your room.
Hospitalist CareBased on your doctor's medical preference, primary care during your stay may be with St. Mark's Hospitalist staff.
The Hospitalist will communicate with your Primary Care Physician about your care and progress. The Hospitalist will also coordinate follow-up care for you at discharge.
Please do not hesitate to ask questions about your healthcare team. We want you to be informed about the people who are caring for you.
